The high-tech world of corporate training and video conferencing has progressed significantly in the last couple of decades. Luckily, now the price is coming down on much of this technology and we are seeing more and more of it in our schools and public education system. Previously we saw all the high-tech gear going into private universities, and now we are starting to see it in our high schools.
This is extremely wonderful and helps our teachers stay efficient, comply with the "No Child Left behind" Act, and makes learning more enjoyable and fun for the students. At the high school level this translates into better performance by students, as well as fewer high-school drop outs. Therefore, one could say it's all good.
Having traveled to every single city in the US over 10,000 population, and having talked to over 500 economic development associations during my seven years of travel domestically, I noted how many cities have set up high-tech office parks, or telecommunication centers, or clean industry zoning. Indeed they got together with local universities and community colleges to train future employees and they set up recruiting teams to recruit new startup businesses, and large corporations into the hightech world to come and put in their facilities and set up shop.This was a period in our nation's history
Since this was radio technology, they worked farther than the first cell phones which had to be within 10 to 15 miles of a cell tower. Today, the cell phones are less wattage than they were back then, so the average cell tower is 6 miles or less apart. Back then the cell phones worked off three Watts, and now with 3G technology the wattage is under 1 W. This is probably good for the human biosystem, as it is putting less microwave frequency radiation into your brain, there will be fewer brain tumors, brain cancer, and other issues. There have been many studies including several with the Swiss researchers which seemed to indicate that the 3 W phones were quite unacceptable for human health, and they would slowly cook your brain as one researcher said.
Of course, I was also very careful, because at the time I was running a franchising company and we cater to doing services for high-tech office centers, namely mobile car washing and detailing for the employees; thus, I would go and actually check out the hightech center to see what kind of companies where they are and how many cars were in the parking lots.
